Meet Kim. Founder of Naturalife Bridport, Kim opened the door on 22 South Street back in 2000 and 23 years and 1 re-fit later, Naturalife is full to the brim with an ever expanding range of wonderful, carefully curated products to help you #liveanaturalife.
Whether you are looking for a good multi-vitamin, a specific herb tincture, cream, lotion or a special baking ingredient, seeds, pulses or seaweeds, sprouting seeds, kefir to natural hair dyes, bamboo toothbrushes or clay powders....we've got all bases covered. Oh - and if organic artisan chocolates are your thing, we have quite a selection!
If you are in need of some help and guidance choosing a supplement to treat a certain health concern, we have many years experience in natural remedies and can help guide you to what might be worth trying. WINTER HEALTH TALK @ THE ARTS CENTRE
A new venue for us for our latest talk at The Arts Centre and we were delighted to have so many join us for a talk hosted by Phil Beard from Viridian Nutrition.
Lots of handy tips and advice on how best to protect our Immune systems as the winter approaches through diet, lifestyle and supplements where necessary.
Our next talk will be in the new year with a new speaker, Sylwia Wyrebek discussing the power of Medicinal Mushrooms. Date to follow shortly.

Have you heard about the new campaign?
Our friends at Viridian nutrition have commissioned a body of research and produced a White Paper exposing the extent of ultra processed foods and supplements, the misunderstandings and ignorance surrounding ingredients and manufacturing.

JOINT HEALTH & INFLAMMATION TALK WITH PHIL BEARD
We were delighted to have Phil Beard from Viridian Nutrition on Monday night at our favourite place, Gelateria Beppino to give us a thoroughly informative talk on Joint Health and Inflammation.
A great talk covering the importance of diet and lifestyle factors in relation to lowering inflammation and plenty of tips on preventative measures. He reminded us of the importance of focusing on our gut health and digestion to ensure that vital vitamins and minerals are absorbed and transported to our joints and muscles and our immune system is fighting fit. The importance of addressing the balance of Omega 3 and 6 was a good reminder for all of us too.
Great to see so many being able to get some 1 to 1 time with Phil on their own health concerns and queries on supplementation and medications.
A huge thank you to everyone who came along. Lovely to chat to you all and we've really appreciated the feedback back in the shop.

OUR TEA RANGE IS GROWING!
We love our tea. So much so, we stock over 140 different teas and we have a new addition.
Amongst brands you'd expect like Clipper, Pukka, Yogi Tea, Tick Tok, Heath & Heather, Dr Stuarts, Celestial Seasonings, Dragonfly Tea and Clearspring we now stock Tea People.
We came across Tea People at the Speciality Food Fair and were immediately impressed by their range of loose teas and great taste awards to match. We now stock their loose tea in caddies along with teapots in a range of colours. Tea People use their profits to support educational and social projects in the under-served tea growing regions helping to improve medical infrastructure and health facilities.
We stock all the traditional black tea favourites, green tea, oolong and white tea, herbal teas and fruit infusions. Some smell so incredible (Divine Elixir being one) we've had to put out tester jars so you can sample the aroma.
If you want Darjeeling Queen (First flush), Russian Caravan, Black Diamond or perhaps something more like Cherry Black, Organic Tulsi or Moringa Passionfruit, blood orange or Turkish Apple..there are lots of options waiting to be picked.
JANUARY 2022 - TIME TO REASSESS?
It’s the time of year when lots of us tend to reassess lifestyle and dietary choices as we start the year fresh with good intentions. Are you on a bit of a detox? Wanting to get fitter? More energised? Sort out that digestive issue that has gone on too long? Maybe you've signed up to Veganuary?
This month we've seen a number of customers trying to cut out things like gluten or dairy for example to see if they alleviate various digestive issues. Often recurring sinus problems can also lead people to try reducing dairy for example and try alternative butters, cheese and nut milks. Perhaps you've been experiencing skin flare ups and are aware they correlate with certain foods you’ve been eating?
Removing certain foods from your diet that you suspect your body can’t tolerate well is often the clearest way to see what’s causing a problem in your diet. These foods can then be reintroduced later on, one at a time, while you look for symptoms that show a reaction.
If you are looking for gluten free foods, dairy free alternatives or other specific products that you’ve seen in new recipes, come and see us. Similarly if you’re looking to move towards more plant based meals, we’ve got plenty of ingredients to help make the switch.

AUGUST 2020 - WHAT A MONTH!
To say August has been a busy one would be an understatement. We have been on a mission to expand our product range and are over the moon to have added a number of new brands to the shop this month. Our skincare section now includes fantastic products from Evolve Beauty (ask us about the gold mask!), as well as expanding on our Green People range with their new 'Nordic Roots' collection of unscented skincare.
In our aromatherapy section we're very excited to add Made By Coopers to sit alongside Tisserand with their amazing range of candles, room mists and lots of other goodies.
Food wise, watch this space! We have some fantastic new foods on their way to us, increasing our deli offerings
and adding even more variety for all you foodies!

This week marks 20 years since Kim opened the doors of Naturalife Bridport on South Street.

A huge thank you to everyone who came to our Inika make up launch evening at Gelateria Beppino! Jenny from Inika gave a great demonstration of the makeup on Angelina and the goodie bags went down a treat. Well done to our raffle winner Ann who took an Inika goodie bag away worth over £75. We are hoping to have another Girls night in the Spring so watch this space.
VIRIDIAN FOCUS NIGHT - 'JOINT HEALTH'
This year we'll be hosting an open event with Viridian Nutrition on the subject of joint health. Are you in pain? Do you suffer from arthritis or other inflammatory conditions? If you are looking to boost your joint health and mobility or simply want some supplementary and dietary tips this promises to be an informative, educational talk.

BRIDPORT FIVER FEST
What is FIVER FEST? A national initiative set up to improve our community and economy by supporting our local independent businesses. Did you know that if every adult in Bridport spent just £5 per week in their local independent shops and businesses instead of online, or at the big supermarkets, it would mean an extra £4.6 million per year going into the local economy. Following the success of Bridport Fiver Fest in 2019, we will be joining in on this national initiative again in 2020. Lots of brilliant local businesses will have some fantastic £5.00 offers. Dates being finalised!
SAMPLINGS AND TASTINGS
We often have people here from various companies to give information and samples to our customers on all sorts of products. Most recently we've had Jenny here from Wiley's to talk about their Fish Oil and Lutein eye supplements. We've had Duncan here talking about his amazing skin unction and Linda here showcasing our gorgeous Antipodes skincare range. We held a fab Booja-Booja truffle party here last year to launch their new flavours and if you want to try Zotter artisan chocolates, we regularly sample their amazing ganache filled treats here on the counter. We love exploring Trade Shows and finding new products that we can stock. It is so important to us to keep our little shop filled to the brim with an ever evolving range of products. We are back on the hunt in 2020 and are off to Spring Fair in Birmingham, Natural & Organic Products Europe (NOPE) show and a few other places on our list - the quest continues!
